Video Unlimited To Join the PSN Inner Circle

Video Unlimited will fall in line with PS Music and more.

Following Sony's announcement of their new partnership with Spotify to provide PS Music, the Video Unlimited service is now set to be re-branded and similarly integrated to the ecosystem with a new name - PS Video.
This is in an effort to unite PlayStation media services under the network umbrella, sitting alongside PS Now, Store and Plus. Previously both Music and Video Unlimited services were offered as standalone applications outside of the PS Network.

For the most part, the video service will largely remain the same and continue to offer shows and movies to rent or buy in the same territories as before. The re-branding will start from February with PS Music to follow in the Spring of 2015.

Sony also confirmed its TV live streaming and catch up service Playstation Vue (currently in a small scale beta), is still scheduled for release in the first quarter of this year.

PlayStation Music will to coming 41 territories, including North and South America, Europe, Asia and more in the Spring. Those with a active subscription to Music Unlimited on February 28 will receive up to 30 days of free access to the service until it ceases operations on March 29, after which you may be offered an introductory Spotify Premium trial. All users will be able to benefit from the the PS Music service whether you have a Spotify Premium account or not, as the free ad-supported service is still an option.
