Apple Addresses the Bent iPhone 6 Controversy

Just nine people have reported misshapen phones, says Apple.

Apple has made its first statement regarding the controversy surrounding bent iPhone 6s.

"Through our first six days of sale, a total of nine customers have contacted Apple with a bent iPhone 6 Plus," Apple said, speaking to Recode.

Nine official reports out of 10 million iPhone 6s sold is an incredibly low number - but that number may rise now that Apple is acknowledging the issue.

We previously reported that complaints were emerging about the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus' tendency to warp in tight pockets.

It's not the only trouble that Apple has encountered in the past few days; the iOS 8.0.1 update came with a host of issues that necessitated a speedy fix to iOS 8.0.2 yesterday evening.
