Sharp's New Smartphone is Coming to Sprint with Ridiculously Slim Bezels

Will cost $240 off-contract.

Sharp is bringing a brand new and incredibly sleek Android smartphone to the United States.

At first glance, it's impossible not to notice the Sharp Aquos Crystal's incredibly thin bezels along the top and sides of the 5-inch display—a negative side effect, unfortunately, is that the lower bezel looks awkwardly large. Regardless, this device would almost certainly stand out in a crowd of other phones.

In addition to the screen, the Aquos Crystal includes a 1.2GHz quad-core processor, 1.5GB of RAM, and an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera. On the software side, Sharp's new handset will run Android 4.4.2 KitKat and Hamon Kardon audio enhancing technology.

A launch date for the Sharp Aquos Crystal has yet to be announced, but the phone will be available through Sprint for a relatively inexpensive price of $240 USD off-contract. The device will also be sold through Virgin Mobile and Boost Mobile for $150.
