Watch Dogs Sells 4 Million Copies in a Week

Watch Dogs has sold more than 4 million copies in its first week, Ubisoft has announced.

This makes it the best-selling new franchise launch in history, as well as enjoying the best first week sales of any Ubisoft game ever. It adds these titles to the ones it's already picked up in the UK

The ctOS Mobile companion app, meanwhile, has been downloaded by more than a million people. All this, and the Wii U version still hasn't launched yet.

Back in April, Ubisoft was quick to make clear that there was no such thing as Watch Dogs 2 though, if such a game were to be made, the dev time would be much shorter. Judging by these sales, we reckon it's time that "if" was changed to a "when".
