It's GoW: Ascension's birthday, but you get to receive the gifts.
To celebrate God of War: Ascension's first birthday, Sony's Santa Monica Studio is offering its DLC for free for the next week
According to a post on the PlayStation blog,
every item of multiplayer weapon and armor DLC is free. Additionally,
the price of all XP boosters has been dropped by 50%, bringing the
36-hour boost down to $4.50.
Participation in an official forum thread
will also net players the chance to play as The Marked One in a
specially designed cape that is available only during this anniversary
period.
God of War: Ascension was released just over a year ago on March 12, 2013; while still enjoyable, we also felt that it was the weakest in the series.
The development team has not been without its troubles; the studio
faced layoffs earlier this year, with a PlayStation representative
telling Consoleinfo.be that "sometimes high profile projects or studios need a reboot."
On a happier note, the original two God of War games will be coming to Vita on May 6, priced at $30.
