Now available for pre-order, the new SteelSeries Rival gaming mouse offers high levels of personalization and ergonomic design.
Gaming peripheral company SteelSeries has announced the Rival, a highly
precise optical gaming mouse with a ton of customization features.
According to SteelSeries, the Rival can deliver up to 6500 counts per
inch (CPI) and a response time as low as one millisecond. And if you're
demanding twitchy movement, Rival reportedly boats cursor speed up to
200 inches per second, with the whole package running on the SteelSeries
Engine 3 software.
"We’ve named our newest optical gaming mouse the Rival, because we
believe that it meets and surpasses every other optical mouse in its
price bracket on the market," said SteelSeries CEO Bruce Hawver.
Well, that's certainly a lofty claim, but the Rival does pack in a wide
range of features for its comparatively affordable price tag.
SteelSeries claims the Rival has been rigorously tested to take a
beating, offering a lifespan beyond 30 million clicks. The outside of
the mouse is coated in an "anti-sweat" finish, rubberized side grips,
and six easy-to-reach programmable buttons. SteelSeries Engine 3 offers
large customization options, including a reported 16.8 million
illuminated color profiles, in addition to precision sensitivity macros
like ExactAim and ExactSens.
The Rival is available for pre-order now for $59.99, with shipping estimated to begin in 30 days.
