Google's Nexus 6 Coming Out This Month?

The great big phone from Google further blurs the lines between tablets and phones.

If you're excited about the next Nexus phone, you could have one in your hands by the end of this month

The Wall Street Journal reports that Google hopes to release the phone, code-named Shamu, "this month." No specific date has been announced, but there are rumors that it may come out as soon as October 15 in front of Apple's October 16 iPad and OS X Yosemtie event. Those are just rumors, and last year's Nexus release ended up being on October 31.

The phone is reportedly a Moto X with extreme dimensions, with an expected display resolution of 2560 x 1440. Pushing all that handheld processing will be a Snapdragon 805 processor with 3 GB of RAM.

Google recently filed with the FCC for a device, with a 5.9 inch display. The huge phone is part of the ever-expanding "phablet" market. A "phablet" isdefined as a phone with a screen 5 inches or larger, and phablet is a portmanteau of the words "phone" and "tablet" and is impossible to say with a straight face.

When the device finally does get an official release date, we'll have it here, so make sure to keep checking Consoleinfo.be for more details as details on this whale of a phone come to the surface.
